Regione Autonoma della Sardegna (RAS) is proficient in the exploitation of online services. The institution has carried out several projects for the development and the distribution of such services, ranging from health records to “SUS”, a unified interface to e-Gov. Services; from the Sardegna Digital Library (www.sardegnadigitallibrary.it), the digital library for all culturally relevant contents belonging to the region identity, to the regional Geoportal (http://www.sardegnageoportale.it/) All services have been carefully planned and developed through regional, national and European funding. In the provisioning of such services, RAS has been adopting open-content policies wherever feasible, starting from an early adoption of the Inspire standard for geodata, to the HOMER MED project experience and the 2015 regional Directive on Open Data. Open Data has now become part of the local digital agenda, supported by two projects. Such progress was only possible thanks to the sharing and reuse of good practices.
