The Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni is an Italian national park in the Province of Salerno, in Campania in southern Italy. It includes much of the Cilento, the Vallo di Diano and the Monti Alburni. It was founded in 1991, and was formerly known as the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano. It is the second-largest national park in Italy, covering 1810 sq km, including 80 towns and villages.

Main role in project MD.net:

The Park aims to protect and
promote the MD lifestyle of more than 60 small rural communities constituting it. The Park aims will help Campania Region to enhance and sharing at transnational level technical knowledge and land cultivation, a common heritage consolidated in thousands of years by generations of local farmers and quality agricultural production for domestic use. More generally, the Park aims to preserve a Man-Nature relationship that has always been the distinguishing feature of lifestyle of the Mediterranean Diet model. The Park will offer accomodations and congress facilities for the MD.net activities.
