La Caldera is a center for creating dance and stage arts that was founded in 1995 by Montse Colomé, Inés Boza, Alexis Eupierre, Lipi Hernández, Carles Mallol, Toni Mira, Maria Rovira, Álvaro de la Peña, Sol Picó and Carles Salas in Vila de Gràcia, Barcelona in 1995. La Caldera is dedicated to artistic practices that leave the body and movement. Its activity focuses on welcoming and accompanying the creators’ processes and proposing innovative contexts to share the results. A center that fosters research, thought and its transmission. Which works to foster emerging creation, language renewal and rapprochement to new audiences.
La Caldera works in network with other creative centers and cultural agents to reinforce a creative fabric that gives continuity to the work of the creators and allows their circulation. The main lines of action are: research and creation / training for professionals / exhibition / mediation and territory.
